High-performance X-Pipe replaces the OEM catalytic converters straight through pipes for maximum flow and power.                                                        

This high performance Porsche exhaust system is designed specifically for the 993 Carrera. Its x-pipe design bypasses the catalytic converters for impressive weight reduction and optimal airflow. Installing this bolt-on component gives your Carrera an increase of 8 horsepower and 19 ft/lbs of torque while reducing the overall weight by 11 pounds.

The Porsche 993 Carrera was built with two different flange styles over the years. Simply select the style applicable for your 993 from the dropdown above. Installation is simple. No cutting, welding, or need for adapters during the process. We built this exhaust system to fit exactly how the original fit, and we have included all the necessary hardware and gaskets in this package.     I own a 97 993 C2S which I truly love. It’s not my first 911, but it may be my last. I had always wanted to have a little more “Porsche Sound” from this beauty. Also, truth be told, there were some engine performsnce quirks I could not explain. My current mechanic recommended a few changes which has totally changed my 993’s performance. Living in Florida, we don’t have DEQ requirements therefore, I chose to remove the CAT and installed a beautiful set of pipes fabricated at FABSPEED (a frequent Pano advertiser). I chose the model without the CAT inserts. The quality of the pipes and welding is immediately recognizable. And they bolted up to my existing 993 sport exhaust. I was somewhat anxious, because I didn’t want a “too loud” sound that my wife would hate. At the same time I sent my ECU computer to a German speed shop (FVD Brombacher), to have it optimized. One day over, one day in processing, and one day back. Easy peasy.

    The final result of both modifications is nothing short of miraculous. The 993’s new sound is perfect, Not too loud, but commands serious respect. When “power on" shifting and downshifting, she actually spits a little like a cup car. Under speed, cockpit noise is very minimal. And most importantly, my wife loves the change. I’ve never had so many “thumbs-up” from fellow drivers in traffic.

    The computer reprogramming was also a total success. She shifts much smoother, idles much better, has seriously improved drivability, and accelerates like a monster.
