Drift

Motorsport characterized by taking turns with intentional rear axle sliding and controlled drifting at the highest possible speed, in order to keep the vehicle on the track, requires special suspension settings, a rigid body, and a powerful engine. In most cases, using this type of drift is not the fastest method for navigating a corner, but it is quite spectacular and visually impressive, which attracts many spectators to these competitions. Our company has already built several cars for drifting.

To prepare a drift car, it is necessary to tune not only the engine but also the body, suspension, transmission, and electronics. A drift car must have a specific power of at least 250 hp per ton of weight. The drift car must be equipped with an oil cooling system and, ideally, a drift sump to constantly maintain the oil level in front of the oil suction. To achieve good results in fast drifting, the car's suspension must be specially prepared: installation of a coilover suspension system with short-stroke springs, modification of the steering system (with a larger steering angle), installation of adjustable front and rear suspension arms (to allow wheel camber adjustments), front and rear body reinforcement bars, lower subframe, or better yet, an internal roll cage, installation of a durable clutch, a limited-slip differential (LSD) in the rear axle, and possibly replacing the final drive ratio with one that is more traction-focused.
