Rally is a motorsport competition where the objective is to cover, in a specially prepared car, a circuit defined by the organizers of the competition, within a predetermined time and/or by covering the distance from start to finish in the shortest time possible. In rally racing, mainly production cars are used with some technical modifications. Rally cars are divided into categories and groups based on their technical characteristics, such as the type of transmission, engine power, etc. The classification of rally cars is approved by the FIA; however, national federations can introduce additional classes for their championships.
